This new exhibition layout is currently under construction. I will be featuring most of the methods used to bring the layout to life beginning with planning the project and showing the various steps through the building stages detailing its construction etc culminating in its first outing at the Merseyside Model Railway Society's Annual Exhibition. (Hopefully 2010).

THE REASON !

I have been railway modelling since childhood and have a permanent 'OO' gauge home based layout entitled "CHESTERGATE & MILNE" (C&M) this was featured in 'MODEL RAIL' August 2008; edition 121. I have included a few photographs of MILNE to give you the viewer something to look at whilst construction is ongoing.

I have always desired an exhibition layout and indeed MILNE started out as just such a venture, however it grew too big and unmanageable to consider for exhibition hence the above project. As newly appointed exhibition manager for MERSEYSIDE MODEL RAILWAY SOCIETY, I thought it was about time I provided myself with a layout which could attend various exhibitions around the country and meet all you like minded souls out there.

MERSEYSIDE MRS holds its annual exhibition at Pacific Road Arts Centre in Birkenhead, this year (2009) is our DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY year, the exhibition dates are:

Friday 30th October 6pm - 9pm

Saturday 31st October 10am - 6pm

Sunday 1st November 10am - 5pm
